WALLINGFORD, CT, Mar. 8, 2010 – Attorney Andi Hallier has joined IRS Medic as an Associate. She brings with her extensive civil litigation experience in matters ranging from labor and employment law, premises and products liability, insurance, asbestos and medical malpractice defense to personal injury and family law, unfair trade and insurance practices and consumer credit defense.
Before joining IRS Medic, Andi was an Associate with Littler Mendelson, P.C. in New Haven, Connecticut. Her practice there focused on labor and employment issues, advising institutional clients and litigating wage and hour, employment discrimination, wrongful discharge and retaliation claims before administrative agencies and in the federal and state courts.
Andi has been extensively involved in pro bono work throughout her legal career. In 2009, she received the Chairman’s Award from the Coordinating Council for Children in Crisis, recognizing her dedication and service to the agency’s mission of assisting victims of abuse and neglect in the Greater New Haven area. In 2005 she was the recipient of the Champions of Liberty Award from the Connecticut Civil Liberties Union’s for her pro bono work on behalf of mentally ill prisoners incarcerated in Connecticut’s maximum security penitentiaries. She is an active member of the Coordinating Council for Children in Crisis, Inc. and Lawyers for Children America, where she serves as a pro bono representative of children in DCF and juvenile court proceedings.
Andi earned her J.D. from the University of Connecticut School of Law, where she served as Executive Editor of the Connecticut Journal of International Law, and received the CALI Excellence for the Future Award in Partnership Taxation. She received her B.A. in Political Science from Yale College, graduating with distinction.
Andi and her husband, Martin (“Marty”) J. Hallier, Jr. live in the Short Beach section of Branford, Connecticut.
